Caricature wedding invitation videos

Caricature invitations are the single most forwarded thing we make, and the reason is simple: people watch them twice, once to see the wedding and once to find themselves.

Every likeness here is drawn by hand from photographs. We do not run photographs through a filter or a generator — the difference is obvious at the second viewing, which is exactly when it matters.

There is no off-the-shelf set for this yet — each one is drawn to the event. Tell us the date, the venue and what you pictured, and a designer replies with a firm quote.

What a template farm cannot tell you

Getting it right

What we need from you

Three or four clear photographs of each person we are drawing, from different angles, in reasonable light. Phone photographs are fine. Group shots are not — we cannot get a likeness from a face that is forty pixels wide.

Tell us the things a photograph will not show: the glasses they always wear, the way he stands, the fact that she is a foot shorter than everyone in the family. Those details are what make a caricature land.

Who to include

Two people are included in the base price and each additional person is ₹900. Most families end up at six to ten: the couple, both sets of parents, the siblings, and — reliably, in about a third of commissions — the dog.

Grandparents are worth including even when they will not see the video. It is the frame that gets screenshotted and put in the family group.

Timing

Caricature work needs an extra three days over a standard design, because the illustration pass happens before any animation can start. Budget seven to nine days end to end rather than 48 hours.

The likeness is signed off separately, before we animate. You see flat drawings of every person first and can ask for changes then — changing a face after the animation is built costs everyone a week.

Questions

The ones families actually ask

How much does a caricature wedding invitation video cost?
From ₹7,500 for two hand-drawn likenesses, your details and a 30-second video. Each additional person is ₹900. A ten-person family video with a multi-event sequence typically comes to ₹12,000–₹16,000.
How many photographs do you need?
Three or four clear photographs of each person, from different angles, in reasonable light. Phone photographs are fine; cropped group shots are not.
How long does a caricature invitation take?
Seven to nine days rather than the usual 48 hours, because the illustration pass comes first. You approve the flat drawings before we animate anything.
Are the drawings made by a person or by AI?
By a person, from your photographs. We do not use image generators for likenesses — at the second viewing, which is when family members look for themselves, the difference is obvious.
