Elegant Invite Cards Services has been making invitations in Kolkata long enough to have done it on paper first. The work moved to screens because that is where families now send things — but the sequence, the wording and the motifs did not change, and neither did the part where a person answers.
What we actually do
We draw invitations and set them in motion. Video invitations and static e-cards — with hand-drawn caricatures and print-ready artwork where they are wanted — for weddings, engagements, receptions, annaprashans, house warmings and company events.
What separates us from a template library is not the software. It is that someone here reads Bengali, knows that the bou bhaat is hosted by the groom’s family, knows that the muhurtham belongs in its own band, and knows that a Nikah card should carry no figures. Those are not features. They are the difference between an invitation that is correct and one that quietly embarrasses the family that sent it.
Why we publish prices
Almost nobody in this category does. The usual argument is that bespoke work varies too much to quote — which is true, and is why our estimate is a range rather than a number. But refusing to say anything at all wastes everyone’s afternoon: yours finding out we are not a ₹500 shop, and ours explaining it.
So every design carries a from-price, every option carries its delta, and the estimate updates as you choose. A designer still confirms a firm figure before anything is charged, because that is the honest way to price work that genuinely varies.
How we work with families abroad
Most of our commissions now come from outside Kolkata — elsewhere in India, and from the Gulf, the UK, Singapore and North America. Everything runs on WhatsApp and email. Send details written down rather than spoken, because spellings are the single thing that delays a project, and the rest works fine across time zones.

Three rounds included. Spelling corrections do not count as a round. Send changes in one message rather than five and the whole thing moves faster.
Used only for your invitation. Not shown as portfolio work, not used in advertising, and not shared with anyone, unless you tell us in writing that we may.
We keep your name, number, email and event details so we can do the job and so the next order is easier. We do not sell it, and we will delete it if you ask. The detail is in the privacy policy.
You own the finished invitation and may share it however you like. The underlying artwork stays ours, which is what lets us keep it on file for your next event. The terms spell this out.
We will say so. A date too tight or a script we cannot set well gets an honest no rather than a job we will both regret.
